Exodus Movement announces $175 million acquisition of W3C Corp, using Bitcoin reserves as collateral to bring Monavate and Baanx payment infrastructure in-house for integrated crypto payments.

The U.S.-listed wallet provider is acquiring W3C Corp, the parent company of crypto card and payments firms Baanx and Monavate.

Baanx users will be able to spend BNB with over 100 million Mastercard and Visa merchants.

The card, facilitated by crypto card enabler Baanx, offers users 1% cashback in bitcoin (BTC) or USDC on purchases, and the ability to directly deposit paychecks into the on-chain card account via bank transfer.

Exodus users can spend their crypto anywhere Mastercard is accepted, according to an announcement at the BTC Vegas conference on Tuesday.

The Visa cards enable holders to spend USDC directly from their crypto wallets, using smart contracts to move a stablecoin balance.

The Rewards Wallet, built using programmable wallet infrastructure from Circle, allows crypto holders access to cashback, fee discounts, and other subscription perks.
