Chingari Launches Its In-App Crypto Wallet – Set to Onboard Millions of User’s To Solana’s Ecosystem

The Solana Ecosystem is set to welcome millions of users in the coming days, all thanks to Chingari. Following a successful testnet launch by the Chingari community last month, the decentralized short video app launched its revamped mobile applications for Google Play Store and Apple App Store on Monday, 14th February. The big news – the new app features the GARI token.

Chingari is one of India’s most popular apps. In fact, it has been dubbed the ‘Indian Tiktok’, primarily because of how it has transformed the content creation scene in the country. By introducing GARI, a full-fledged cryptocurrency, Changari is set to make its platform a lot more exciting for its millions of daily users.

With GARI in the picture, Chingari can now move users to the Solana Ecosystem, where they stand to gain a lot. Users can easily deposit and withdraw GARI from their in-app wallets. The token can also be traded on major cryptocurrency exchanges. GARI will also improve how content creators and consumers interact. Users can tip their favourite content creators to boost their profile and support their content.

Speaking on the latest integration of the in-app GARI wallet, CEO and Cofounder of Chingari, Sumit Ghosh said,

This will be a game-changer in the Chingari App when millions of users will experience the integration of GARI. The existing and new users will be able to tip the other content creators, boost their profiles, gain governance rights, and experience a lot more features on the app. With this, we also move in the direction of being a project with the highest on-chain users. We are very excited to launch the in-app wallet of Chingari and give users revamped app with loaded features.”

Though Chingari just rolled out its improved app, GARI has been around for a while. The coin was launched amidst much fanfare in October 2021. Salman Khan, Bollywood actor and Brand Ambassador graced the launch party and had the honour of introducing the token to the excited audiences and markets.

Things have moved rather quickly for GARI and the new Chingari app. When the testnet version of the revamped was launched in December 2021, more than 500 community members volunteered to test it. They activated the wallet and sent GARI tokens to each other to confirm that the features were working well.

GARI was fully introduced to the market in a spectacular manner last week. It gained simultaneous listing on some of the most prominent exchanges, including FTX, Huobi, Kucoin, OKEx, Gate.io, and MEXC global. It is the first crypto to achieve that. To crown it all, GARI’s trading volume exceeded $100 million in less than 24-hours after the listing.

What does the future hold for GARI and Chingari? Well, it appears the best is yet to come. Already, Chingari has more than 100 million downloads. By introducing a well-planned crypto component, the app will appeal to more users. In a bid to ensure that on-chain transactions are fast and cost-effective, GARI was launched as an SPL token on the Solana blockchain.

From all indications, the GARI network is not a regular cryptocurrency network. It is bound to transform the way short-video content is created and consumed in India and other countries. It is already building a crypto-powered content creator economy on Chingari. Considering that Chingari already boasts of more than 35 million monthly active users, the potentials are enormous.

The new GARI ecosystem has all the trappings of a project for the future. It will empower Chingari users to create sub-economies and take content creation and sharing to the next level. It is set to usher in web 3 metaverse in the video creation industry. It will make it easier for creators to do what they love, connect with fans, and sell their talents. They will be able to mint unique short videos as NFTs.

Of course, the GARI ecosystem is not just for content creators. The regular users will also benefit a lot from the network. They can be rewarded for watching and sharing videos from their favourite content creators. They can also trade the GARI token for profit, just like other digital currencies. The token also gives them governance rights in the network.
