The metaverse is finally upon us, and many are exploring its potential. Though it is still in the development phase, the potential of virtual worlds is becoming clearer with each new day.
One of the concepts driving the popularity of the metaverse is the play-to-earn (P2E) gaming experience. The concept is primarily facilitated by non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
As of today, there is a handful of metaverse-ready gaming applications out there, and people love them. It is now possible for gamers to earn and build in-game assets with real-world value. Gamers are cashing out real money, and Digital Entertainment Asset (DEA) is here with another piece of good news.
DEA has announced the launch date of a new PlayMining game called Menya Dragon Ramen. The Singaporean-based blockchain and multimedia group also announced the presale for the third-party game, which will allow anyone to join its PlayMining gaming ecosystem.
Menya Dragon Ramen is set to launch in July 2022. The blockchain-based game will enter the play-to-earn market in grand style. The DEA team is eager to get the right people involved by hosting a presale event for its PlayMining NFT marketplace in late May. The “Employee NFTs”, as the tokens available in the presale are called, will play a crucial role in advancing the Menya Dragon Ramon ecosystem.
Menya Dragon Ramen was developed by Fly Penguin, a reputable Tokyo-based video game developer. The gameplay promises to be exciting as it combines role-playing mechanics with running a ramen shop. Players will get the chance to acquire ingredients by defeating dungeon monsters. They’ll then be able to make ramen from the ingredients and sell it in their customizable ramen shops. The game incorporates role-playing with shop simulator elements for the ultimate P2E experience.
Expressing his delight about the upcoming launch, the director of Fly Penguin, Takaati Ikeda said:
“We are very honored to be able to participate in ‘play-to-earn’ games, providing people with a completely new gaming experience. We are currently developing this game to create a peculiar world of ‘Making ramen from the monsters you defeated’. We also plan to add features that let players customize their shops, manage business plans to increase the sales of ramen and many more so that players’ ingenuity will be reflected in the game. We hope you will have fun playing our game.”

DEA is also super-excited about the up-and-coming game and the PlayMining platform as a whole. A spokesperson for the company said:
“Third-party companies can use the ‘PlayMining’ platform to issue and sell original NFTs, sell in-game items and distribute DEAPcoin (DEP) as a reward for gameplay, forming a unique token economy for each game. DEA will continue to actively collaborate with third-party companies to enhance the titles on PlayMining”.
