Cirus Browser Extension Announced in New Project Roadmap Update

By December 10, 2021 No Comments

The release of the Cirus Browser Extension will allow users to start controlling and earning from their data from day one

A number of concurrent development efforts and initiatives are underway at Cirus. These include pre-deployment testing of Genesis, completion of hardware integration testing, development of the Cirus Core, and testing D-VoiS, the first ISP partner of the Cirus Foundation. Dedicated resources continue to work on other aspects of the Cirus Ecosystem as the team pushes forward toward the formal rollout of Genesis, the Cirus Wallet, Cirus Device Integration, and the release of the Cirus mobile app.

After the Cirus launch in August – which was followed by over 100k waitlist signups to join the Cirus platform – the foundation has announced that all of the components required for the release of a functional version of the Cirus Browser Extension are in place. As a result, the team is updating their roadmap to reflect the release of this important and highly anticipated component of the Cirus Ecosystem first.

Impact

According to the team, the Cirus Browser Extension will bring data control and basic monetization to Cirus users right out of the gate, bringing the core Cirus experience to users from day one, much earlier than anticipated in the team’s original roadmap. The foundation believes that this is the fastest route to adoption, and since the team was in a position to give users the core Cirus experience now rather than later, this critical decision was taken.

As the Cirus development and testing teams continue with the buildout of other functions and features of the platform and the Cirus backend infrastructure, the core experience of users will not change. Cirus users will own their data from day one, and new features will be added incrementally. As more powerful back-end processing and monetization components are completed and deployed on the network, the team will share updates on the platform’s anchor releases (Alpha and Everest) as well as other user-focused tools and features that are sure to add to the overall customer experience.

Additional Updates

In terms of upcoming developments, first, the Cirus team will release the Cirus Browser Extension, after which Genesis will go live. This will be followed by Cirus Wallet Integration, Cirus Device Integration, and the release of the Cirus mobile app.

In terms of timelines, the Genesis phase of the Cirus Platform – complete with all planned features and functionalities – is almost ready and will follow within a few weeks of the Cirus Browser Extension. It will be accessible directly or through the Browser Extension.

Work on the Cirus Wallet is still in progress and has a planned release in Q1, 2022. Once deployed, every verified user will receive their own wallet and will be able to claim, swap, and send their earned tokens.

Following the announcement on Tuesday, the team got together and held a live video AMA, where the co-founders discussed and reviewed the Cirus Browser Extension, gave a detailed walkthrough of the feature roadmap, and answered community questions about the upcoming products.

The Cirus roadmap has evolved to where the team can launch a fully functional product first, complete with all of the core elements of the Cirus experience present right from day one. The team is updating the roadmap to reflect this development and will continue to add and upgrade features incrementally through to the end of the current roadmap.

Once the Cirus Browser Extension goes live, look out for quickfire updates on other ecosystem components, starting with the formal rollout of Genesis, the completion of the Cirus Wallet, and integration of the Cirus Platform with the D-VoiS.
